ALFAPARF Group won 1st prize at “The Procurement Awards 2021” in the Ethical and Sustainable Procurement category.

“The Procurement Awards” competition recognizes the most innovative procurement-related projects of Italy’s largest companies. Of the numerous candidates for the prize, ALFAPARF took first place with its “Evolution of the Green” project developed by the Global Procurement Department. At its Beauty&Business production plant in Italy, Alfaparf launched a sustainability project related to packaging for professional hair coloring, the product that most completely represents its core business.

By using environmentally responsible raw materials, Alfaparf reduced the environmental impact of packaging: from the 100% recyclable aluminum tube to the cap made of 100% recycled plastic; from the 100% recycled paper container to the FSC corrugated cardboard wrapping (soon to be 100% recycled cardboard), to replacement of the paper instruction sheet with a QR code. Through this initiative, it was able to improve the production efficiency of its lines and significantly reduce costs.

This important recognition acknowledges Alfaparf’s commitment to sustainability and is an incentive to do even better. Indeed, the Group is committed to bringing the same “Evolution of the Green” project to all its production plants.
